Clinical Research

The Divisions of Infectious Diseases and HIV Medicine are extremely active in clinical research, including clinical trials. The two divisions have enrolled thousands of participants into clinical studies and clinical trials. Many of these investigations involve community partners and/or community advisory boards so that study conduct is vetted through community partners and findings are communicated with the communities most affected by the infection under study.

At any given time, our Divisions are conducting are dozens on projects and trials. The Divisions have been highly successful at obtaining sponsorship for these projects from federal sources such as the NIH, CDC, and AHRQ, other governmental agencies, charitable foundations, and industry sources.
