Brian Chow, MD, is an Investigator at the Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and an Infectious Disease (ID) attending physician in the Division of HIV Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is the current Director of the Beall Positive Care Clinic, a medical practice devoted to patients living with HIV, part of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Prior to joining TLI and Harbor-UCLA, he was an ID and Transplant ID fellowship program director.
Dr. Chow is a dual trained Internal Medicine – Pediatrics Infectious Disease Physician. While at Brown University, he was awarded a Thrasher Research Foundation Early Career Award, the purpose of which is to encourage the development of researchers. That project focused on yeast colonization in neonates. More recently, Dr. Chow has worked on research and quality improvement projects on vaccines and clinical trials for vaccines and COVID-19 therapies. He continues to work on clinical trials which advance novel therapeutics. He is passionate about linking and retaining people living with HIV in care and preventing HIV infection.
